Selection Process

Participants will be selected based on their academic track record (CV, grades, and letters of recommendation) and their motivation to strengthen their knowledge in computational biology (letter of motivation). Applicants whose research or thesis projects at home require or are connected to modeling and simulating biological systems will be given priority.

Registration Fee

The registration fee covers tuition and full-board accommodation for 8 days. This includes 3 meals (+ coffee breaks) each day, as well as course materials and selected social activities. Participants will stay in comfortable 2-3 bed rooms with private bathrooms. Wireless internet access is available throughout the house. The guesthouse also is easily accessible to public transportation (runs 24 hours every day).

Registration fees should be paid after receipt of the acceptance letter. DO NOT PAY ANY FEES BEFORE THIS TIME! Your participation considered confirmed after the registration fee has been received.

Travel Stipends

Lack of financial support should not prevent anyone from applying! 15 travel stipends are available to be awarded among eligible participants.

Travel stipends may cover up to EUR 400 of travel expenses. Applications for stipends should be made through the “Registration” page of this web site. Stipends will be awarded based on the CV, grades, and provenance of the participants in the following order or priority:

1.Applicants from countries where financial support is not otherwise available
2.Applications with outstanding performance record or high suitability for the course
3.Applicants whose thesis project will directly benefit from the course contents
